Each week during term time we run TOTS on a Tuesday morning from 10am - 11.30am, as a fun and friendly place for pre-school children and their parents or carers. Each week children will enjoy playing, craft, having a snack or singing songs whilst parents/guardians keep a watchful eye on them and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a chat.
We provide children's programmes on both a Friday night and a Sunday morning. Xplorers (Age 3-P7) meet during our morning service and Friday Xtra meet on Fridays during term time from 6.30pm - 7.45pm for Age 3-P4 and P4-P7.
Encounter is our community for young people (Year 8-14) at Strandtown. We help young people to live the life they were made for – to enjoy knowing God, together. Young people meet on Fridays during term time from 8.15pm -10.15pm, in monthly small groups and for One To One Discipleship.
Equip is a monthly programme for 18-25s to meet together and figure out what discipleship and Christianity looks like in the 21st century as a student or young adult.
Student life groups start Sunday 30th September after the evening service. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Men's events run at various points throughout the year to help develop friendships among men, encourage spiritual growth and to support one another. There are also some men's small groups that meet every few weeks or once per month. Contact email@example.com for more details.
Connect Women's events run at various points throughout the year for women of all ages and stages of life to find a place to connect with God and with one another in a spirit of love and unity. Connect One to One Discipleship is also available – contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Friendship Focus runs on the second Wednesday of each month from 10.30am - 11.30am as a chance for seniors to meet together to catch up over a cup of tea or coffee and hear from a variety of visiting speakers. We also have the Striders walking group that meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
We believe that church isn't just an event you attend, but rather that it is a community you belong to. One way to connect into this community is through being a part a small group at Strandtown.
We recognise that we are dependant on our heavenly Father for everything—therefore we're seeking to make prayer both a regular community discipline and our natural, everyday response to the needs and opportunities we encounter. We hold a prayer meeting on alternate Wednesdays at 8pm.
Throughout the year we facilitate a number of courses including Divorcecare, Griefshare, and Alpha. Check below for any upcoming courses. Scroll down to view all available options.
