Serving our district

We believe that knowing God should compel us to join Him in compassion and the renewal of all things – families, relationships, communities, work and passions. As a community we are sent, both locally and globally, to be a part of God's disciple-making mission and to see His Kingdom come in east Belfast and beyond.

We partner with Storehouse Belfast as a collection point for food donations. Storehouse works to encourage dignity and significance in those living in poverty, in and through the provisions of the basic essentials of life. Each month we drive a collection of one specific food item which can be dropped off into the trolley in the foyer

Griefshare course

Strandtown is a centre for Caring Ministries and each year we run a 13 week Griefshare Course. This is a support group where those who have experienced loss have an opportunity to listen and talk to others in a similar situation. Griefshare begins in January each year.

divorcecare course

As a centre for Caring Ministries we also run a 13 week Divorcecare Course each year. This is a support group built around seminars that help anyone going through separation to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding their life.

Each week during term time we run TOTS as a fun and friendly place for pre-school children and their parents or carers in our community. Each week children will enjoy playing, craft, having a snack or singing songs whilst parents/guardians keep a watchful eye on them and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a chat.

We support the residents at Breffni Lodge care home through providing a short service in the care home on alternate months throughout the year.

We currently partner with CFC and a number of local churches to support the local east Belfast CAP centre – giving free debt help to anyone feeling weighed down by their financial situation.

Call 0800 328 0006 to book an appointment with the CAP Belfast East Centre.

Each summer we run a week-long holiday Bible club for children. It's a week packed with Bible teaching, games, crafts and songs. There is a separate programme for age 3-P3 and P4 - Year 8. Find out more about this years club below.

Surrendering the secret is an 8-week course for women who regret past abortions. It offers a safe environment to share about their painful experiences, to be transformed by God's word and empowered to use their testimony for God's glory.

Course not currently running in Strandtown. Please contact us to be sign posted to those running the course in an area near you.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation. Come with your questions and explore life, faith and meaning.
